Barbara Hulanicki (of Biba fame) has come out of her furniture designing shell and back into fashion. She has collabarated with Topshop and the long-awaited collection has been launched today. Not sure what's left and what isn't because I have been a total hermit; my only company being law books which I cannot bring myself to open and read. Surprisingly (for a much-hyped Topshop collab) it isn't overpriced either, with most of the dresses above being modestly priced at £55. (Yes Kate Moss, I am looking at you and wanting you to take note...)
Topshop has often been compared to the original clothing emporium that was Biba so I guess it was a real natural place for Hulanicki to make a mini comeback. The collection in it itself is bright, floaty, and very very short. But I suppose it's what we all expected. Personally I don't see anything that stands out or which I think, "I must have that now!" but that's just down to my own taste... not to say that I won't be checking it out of course. Y'know, just to team those dresses with wide rimmed hats, crazy tights, lots of cuffs and chunky heels... If I can... If my non-Twiggy-esque legs permit... Post a Comment
